What Helped Me Heal
Healing is not always quiet. Sometimes it is storytelling, grief, reflection, faith, movement, community, and finding the courage to become visible again.
Founder Story
From survival to storytelling.
For Marie Niles, healing has never been one single moment. It has been a journey through childhood survival, motherhood, grief, HIV diagnosis, reinvention, advocacy, and learning how to use her voice without shame.
Bee HIV+ Foundation was born from that healing journey — from the belief that visibility can save lives and that no one should have to walk through diagnosis, grief, or stigma alone.
“What was meant to silence me became the very thing that gave me a voice.”
Published Work & Storytelling
Her Story, Her Power
Marie Niles is a contributing author in Her Story, Her Power, a collaborative book project celebrating women’s resilience, healing, strength, and transformation.
Becoming a published author became part of Marie’s healing. Through storytelling, she transformed pain into purpose and created space for others to feel seen, supported, and unashamed.
Storytelling is not just reflection — it is restoration.
Healing Practices
Healing can take many forms.
Storytelling
Sharing truth can break silence, release shame, and remind others that they are not alone.
Journaling
Writing allows us to process grief, fear, change, faith, hope, and the parts of ourselves still becoming whole.
Community
Healing grows stronger when people feel seen, heard, supported, and welcomed without judgment.
Visibility
Choosing visibility can turn survival into service and pain into purpose.
Featured Healing Resource
Lorraine’s Story Continues
Lorraine’s book is shared here as a featured healing resource because stories have the power to create visibility, reflection, and restoration. Her work reminds us that resilience is not just survival — it is transformation.
“Visibility didn’t end with one story… it evolves.”
Be Seen. Be Heard. Be Unashamed.
Healing is part of the movement.
Bee HIV+ Foundation believes healing happens through education, support, truth, visibility, and compassionate community.
