Glen Niles, Co-founder– Steel Drum Musician & Educator


Glen Niles is an accomplished steel drum musician whose lifelong journey with the instrument began at the age of five, performing alongside his family in their steel drum band. Rooted in the rich traditions of Caribbean music, Glen’s passion and talent quickly
propelled him beyond local performances to the global stage.
Over the years, Glen has performed internationally in cities such as Paris, Geneva, London, Tokyo, Yokohama, Milan, and throughout Holland, captivating audiences with the vibrant, melodic sounds of the steel pan. His dynamic performances and dedication to
cultural exchange have made him a global ambassador for steel drum music.
Beyond performing, Glen is deeply committed to education and cultural preservation. He has developed and led steel drum workshops and programs both at home and abroad, sharing the instrument’s history, technique, and soul with students of all ages. His work emphasizes not only musical skill but also cultural understanding and community engagement.


Now based in the United States, Glen continues to expand his educational mission. He currently teaches a youth steel drum program in Phoenix, Arizona, where he inspires the
next generation through rhythm, discipline, and creativity. By integrating his international experience and family-rooted traditions, Glen Niles continues to spread the joy and legacy of steel drum music across the world.

Yes! BeeHIV+ events are open to all people of all backgrounds—gay, straight, HIV-positive, HIV-negative, and everyone in between. Our mission is about unity, not division.

Many of our events are based by show, with 100% of proceeds supporting HIV education and outreach. Some ticketed events help fund specific programs or campaigns.
